It comes as little surprise when our police services make the headlines for high-profile success stories. However, news that crime is at the lowest level it has ever been in the last 30 years are soon going to be eclipsed by the reality of the unprecedented cuts that the Spending Review imposed on our police forces. 

With 83% of the policing budget spent on staffing, our chief officers have to make tough, yet informed, decisions on how to deliver quality services and maintain the same levels of responsiveness, but with their budgets reduced by 14% over the life of this parliament. We understand that the only way this can be achieved is by redesigning and continuously improving services with waste removed, streamlined structures to improve the productivity of our police services.

We are working with police services and their partners across the UK to help them bring about the transformational change that will enable them to do the things communities and service users value most whilst delivering the required financial savings.
