The sessions dispelled any mysteries surrounding business planning and key messages to come out of the session were Get to what really matters and the need to ask the question Are we winning?

Mike reinforced that by explaining to staff in simple and relevant terms that business planning and performance management frameworks are benefits rather than systems which create additional work. By empowering staff and delegating responsibility to individuals, Newcastle Area Command can achieve a performance management framework, which all staff understand.
