"Using Alexander Consulting to assist the Council in developing a balanced scorecard approach to performance management has been a success. This initiative including the training and methodology supplied by Alexander Consulting is delivering the biggest step change in performance management at Eastbourne Council since the 1999 Local Government Act. Of particular merit is the inclusive approach to developing the scorecard that has managed to drag performance management out of the corporate centre into frontline service delivery. The potential contribution to improving performance across the whole of the Housing Service (Chosen as the pilot service area) is recognised not only by staff and management but also by the Audit Commission in their recent ALMO indicative Inspection.
